Quetzal wine cellar is in the south of Portugal and was recently inaugurated.  There is a modern art museum and it is considered a very important art collection from a prominent family from Holland.

View of Coimbra from the Mondego river! On the top of hill is the most famous university in Portugal founded in 1290. Coimbra is an UNESCO world heritage site. It is possible to visit several areas of the university by purchasing a ticket to enter.  The library is spectacular and you may also enjoy a stunning panorama from the university tower.

Today’s client arrived from the USA with the idea of wanting to know more about these beautiful tiles! He chose the right place, Portugal’s traditional industry is the production of hand crafted ceramic tile.  We drove through the streets of Lisbon visiting churches and palaces and simple buildings all adorned with tile. Finaly visiting the Sant’Anna tile factory one of the few in Europe producing tile and ceramic pieces still using the age old techniques. All hand made and painted by artisans.
