The Lisbon Sports Pavilion is an icon for sports and cultural  exhibitions.  It was built in  Rio de Janeiro for Portugal for the worlds exhibition of 1922.  It was then rebuilt in Lisbon in 1932 renamed Carlos Lopes Portuguese after the marathonist and gold medal winner of the Olympic Games held in Los Angeles  in 1984.  After  almost 15 years in ruin it is now completely restored to its original splendor with beautiful Portuguese tiles inside.  The facade is magnificent.

My clients visiting from the Philippines asked me to take them to the place famous for its giant waves. This place is called NAZARÉ which is a typical fishing village North of Lisbon where ladies dress with a layering of 7 skirts.

LARGEST WAVE – A well known surfer, Garrett McNamara (from Hawaii ) surfed the biggest wave ever here in beautiful Nazare Portugal. Videos of this world record can be found online.

For lunch we had a very special fish stew that is the specialty of this area in Nazaré The stew is made from a variety of fishes, potatoes, green peppers, tomato, onions,and lots of spices!
